Dobbs' Star Student
Quiteria Norris
Quiteria Norris
Quiteria Norris is EVERYTHING that a teacher might want or expect in the classroom.  Always ready, always prepared  and always giving 110% to any given learning opportunity.  Quiteria is involved with every activity, expressing her curiosity, interests, and trusting in her teachers' guidance to take her to the next level.  Her actions make her a leader and a role model for others to emulate.  Over the last month Quiteria has demonstrated amazing growth as a learner.  Her work in all academic areas, but particularly in the area of ELA and Reading, has been outstanding!
Quiteria is not just a scholar; she is also a great classmate to her peers.  All students feel comfortable working with her because she is pleasant, polite, fun
to be with, helpful and encouraging. Quiteria is a prime example of a model star student.
Help us build our community playground! playground

The Dobbs' family would like to thank everyone who helped plant our community garden, construct an outdoor classroom and a playground on November 9th. Through the hard work of Dobbs' staff, KaBoom!, the Humana Foundation, volunteers, organizations, and local businesses, the students of Dobbs now have an outdoor facility that promotes healthy play and well-being throughout the community.

  • APS Statement Regarding Personnel Changes

Atlanta Public Schools is appreciative of the leadership demonstrated by all of our principals, particularly those who have served the district for many years.  Like all school districts, APS conducts an annual assessment of where we are as a system, as well as a review of any revisions to state law. Necessary changes are made to ensure the district remains in compliance and that all of our students are prepared for the next level and long-term success. This process includes an intense and methodical performance review of all of our schools and their leadership teams. For the full statement, please click here.

  • Atlanta Public Schools parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey administered by the Georgia Department of Education. Data from the Georgia Parent Survey will be used along with the Georgia Student Health Survey and the Georgia School Personnel Survey to calculate the School Climate Star Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).

The Georgia Parent Survey has 20 questions and should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete it. Data results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.
