  • Infinite Campus Parent and Student Portal

    CPP Login Page:  https://ic.apsk12.org/portal

    Parents of students in grades K–12 have access to class schedules, attendance records and grades by Campus Portal for Parents (CPP) which is an easy-to-use, secure communications tool. Additionally, CPP enables parents to verify household information, including their email address, home address and telephone numbers.
    Contact your child’s school to get your CPP activation key. Parents are required to  request the CPP activation key in person. To ensure that all student information remains secure, parents must provide a valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID card, or passport) before receiving the CPP activation key.  Once parents receive the activation key, they can visit https://ic.apsk12.org/portal to create a unique username and password.

  • The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords parents and students who are 18 years of age or older ("eligible students") certain rights with respect to the student's education records.  These rights include the right to provide written consent before the school discloses personally identifiable information (PII) from the student's education records, except to the extent that FERPA authorizes disclosure without con­sent.

    One exception which permits disclosure without consent is disclosure to school officials with legitimate educational interests.  A school official is a person employed by the school as an ad­ministrator, supervisor, instructor, or support staff member (including health or medical staff and law enforcement unit personnel) or a person serving on the school board.  A school official also may include a volunteer or contractor outside of the school who performs an institutional service of function for which the school would otherwise use its own employees and who is under the direct control of the school with respect to the use and maintenance of PII from education records, such as an attorney, audi­tor, medical consultant, or therapist; a parent or student volunteering to serve on an official committee, such as a disciplinary or grievance committee; or a parent, student, or other volunteer assisting another school official in performing his or her tasks.  A school official has a legitimate educational interest if the official needs to review an educa­tion record in order to fulfill his or her professional responsibility.

    Also, upon request, the school discloses education records without consent to officials of another school district in which a student seeks or intends to enroll, or is already enrolled if the disclosure is for purposes of the student’s enrollment or transfer.

Dear Sutton Family and Friends,
 
As new principal here at Sutton Middle School, I want to provide you with a “mid-year update.” Together, we will honor the long, rich history of Sutton Middle School and preserve the effective and wonderful components of this community school.  At the same time, we will employ a continuous improvement process to determine areas for adjustment or change so that we increase success of students at Sutton Middle School.

My vision for Sutton Middle School is provision of the “complete school experience.”  This means that all adults in the building work collaboratively to ensure challenging academics, amazing fine arts, competitive athletics, and opportunities for leadership and service for all students.  Adults have to work to make sure opportunities across all areas are afforded to all students – we have to look, listen, and seek out students who need assistance in taking advantage of the complete school experience.  Adults have to work together to make sure students may participate in multiple opportunities.  I have successfully implemented this vision as a principal in other locations.
