- Arrange for your child to have a mentor who helps him/her with life skills, writing support, and the application process
- Works with the admissions office at colleges to help students get admitted and receive correct financial aid packages
- Prepare students for college through a readiness retreat
- Respond to the questions, concerns, and needs of parents seeking to understand the process and to support their child
Students will...
- Meet with assigned mentor at least twice a month
- Attend kick-off retreat consisting of training sessions on the college application process in late August
- Visit at least one participating college in the fall
- Meet admissions reps who visit their high school
- Apply to at least three of the participating colleges
- Have their parents meet with their child's mentor on a regular basis
- Apply to Phillips Exeter Summer Program
Note: Participating students are not required to enroll in any participating college if accepted and are encouraged to consider all of their collegiate options carefully and equally.
Colleges will...
- Waive the application fee
- Fly students to campus for visits free of charge
- Provide student support services to enrolled students
- Provide full need packages to 21st CAS students, which is an average of $200,000 for all 4 years
- Covers comprehensive cost (tuition, room, board, ect.)
- Parent and student contribution may be required
