About Our School
The premise of Booker T. Washington Early College High School (BTWECHS) is to enable students to obtain up to 60 hours of college credit, while attending high school. Through a joint effort between BTWECHS, Georgia State University (GSU), and Clark Atlanta University (CAU), aspiring college bound students will have the opportunity to:
· Attend a premiere high school that offers a rigorous curriculum, personalized student programs, and stakeholder commitment and involvement.
· Benefit from the privileges of taking college courses on the actual college campus and exploring college life as a high school student.
· Participate in internships, service learning projects, community service and fieldtrips.
Booker T. Washington Early College High School will also offer, within its school a career pathways: Education Professions/S.T.A.R – (School for Teaching Careers and Academic Readiness). While attending BTWECHS students will identify one of the career pathways in which they will learn and be introduced to specific jobs that they could pursue in the future.
