Atlanta Public Schools Student Records Center

The Records Center manages inactive high school permanent records and provides transcripts per written request. The Record Center issues work permits to students in Fulton County in accordance with the Georgia Child Labor Law. Some of the records now housed at the Records Center date back as far as 1880. No copies of diplomas are maintained on file.

The Records Center transmits records of former students to governmental organizations and to public and private secondary schools at no cost. Other private agencies, colleges and prospective employers are charged a minimal fee to cover the estimated average cost of research of the requested information. Confidential information is not released without proper authorization.

Student Relations serves parents, students and schools by verifying school attendance boundaries and managing intra-district transfers. Additionally, Student Relations manages the application process for foreign exchange students seeking enrollment opportunities within the school district. We directly serve schools by providing guidance regarding enrollment/registration procedures, interpretation of policy and assistance with enrollment issues.
