Atlanta Public Schools Student Records Center
The Records Center manages inactive high school permanent records and provides transcripts per written request. The Record Center issues work permits to students in Fulton County in accordance with the Georgia Child Labor Law. Some of the records now housed at the Records Center date back as far as 1880. No copies of diplomas are maintained on file.
All certified student records are sent by U.S. Mail. We cannot fax student records.
How to request a Transcript
You may request a transcript/copy of student records during normal office hours which are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. You will need to bring a picture ID. The cost is one dollar per transcript and .25 per page for all pages over ten. Payments must be made with a money order; no cash, checks, credit or debit can be used for payment. Please note: There is a 7 to 10 day processing time after receipt of the request.

Your signature must appear on the records request. For students under the age 18, a parent or guardian must sign the request.

There is a 7 to 10 day processing time after receipt of the request.
Atlanta Public Schools does not provide GED transcripts or copies of diplomas.
A student's educational records are confidential and may only be disclosed as allowed by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) or with the written permission of the student's parent or legal guardian, or of the student (if over 18 years old). Student records are kept in accordance with the Georgia Records Act.
