- In place of the Committee of the Whole and Legislative Meetings, the Board will convene a single board meeting, beginning at 2:30PM. The meeting will include formal presentations, discussions about critical topics from the superintendent and executive sessions, if needed.
- The community meeting will continue to start at 6:00PM with registration for public comment from 5:00PM to 5:50PM. Legislative action will follow the public comment period.
- The BoardDocs governance system will be used to conduct and capture board votes electronically. The digital voting process will provide quicker access for the public to view board outcomes online.
This new format eliminates repeated portions of the meetings and presents a clean process for the public to observe board actions.
Community Meetings, unless otherwise noted, are held the first Monday of each month at 6:00PM. The Atlanta Board of Education welcomes input from students, staff, parents and members of the community at its Community Meetings. Required sign-in begins at 5:00PM and concludes at 5:50PM. (Click here for Community Meeting Guidelines).
