Welcome to the Learning Technologies Department

The Learning Technologies Department (LTD) consists of a team of innovative educators who specialize in the integration of technological resources into the instructional curriculum. The LTD provides professional development, instructional resources and support for educators to help them successfully integrate technology into a standards-based curriculum. The Learning Technologies Specialist (LTS) is responsible for coordinating, organizing and facilitating the effective use of technology within the school to accelerate learning and increase student achievement.

Spotlights APS Students at Technology Fair

Georgia Educational Technology Fair

Each year, finalists from across the state gather at the Georgia Educational Technology Fair to compete in over 13 categories. Students display their 21st Century skills in areas including robotics, Web 2.0 internet applications and digital video editing. The event showcases the exceptional talent of students in grades 3 -12 both in individual and group presentations. The competition also features the awarding of a scholarship to an outstanding high school senior.
