E. Rivers Elementary is one of Atlanta’s oldest schools. Opened in 1917, the original school burned down in 1948, a new school was then constructed on the same site. Construction on the third E. Rivers building is occurring in 2013-14 while students are temporarily located in the old Sutton Middle School. E. Rivers serves the South Buckhead communities of Loring Heights, Ardmore Park, Brookwood Hills, Underwood Hills, Collier Hills, Peachtree Hills, Colonial Homes. E. Rivers Elementary feeds Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School.  Source:  www.eriverselementary.com  

  • Rivers Elementary School to Share Campus with Jackson ES

    Attention: E. Rivers Elementary Parents and Students This is to inform you that beginning, Monday, March 24, students and staff at the main campus of Warren T. Jackson Elementary School will temporarily co-locate with E. Rivers Elementary while a gas leak is repaired. Students and staff are expected to return to the Jackson Elementary main campus by the end of the week. Additional information will be communicated via robo-calls and your school website to ensure minimal disruption during this temporary co-location. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Middle School:  3pm - 5pm
    Elementary School:  5pm - 7pm

    Congratulations!

    You have completed the approved program of study, passed the necessary exams and satisfied all of the requirements for graduation. You have reached a wonderful milestone in your education journey and are certainly worthy of celebration.
