"It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the SOT. Our school has a unique opportunity to prove that small schools are truly a better place to learn, grow, and graduate from high school. Our nation, state, and city have all struggled with educating high school students, especially our minority males. Here at the SOT, we are up for the challenge and look forward to helping our students become life-long learners.
 
It is my duty and our work to ensure they are ready for the world of work and college. With the help of great teachers, caring parents, and a supportive business community, all of our students will leave this school a much better student and person!"

  • Superintendent Search Committee community meetings

    The Superintendent Search Committee will hold community meetings at schools in every cluster. The purpose of the meetings is to obtain input regarding the profile for the next superintendent.  The meeting dates and locations are listed below. All meetings will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

     

    ·       May 15: North Region meetings will be held at Harper-Archer MS, the Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy and Sutton MS.

    ·       May 16: South Region meetings will be held at Long MS and Price MS.

    ·       May 20: West Region meetings will be held at Brown MS, Bunche MS and Young MS.

    ·       May 21: East Region meetings will be held at Inman MS and King MS.
